I'll tell you what it's worth before I tell you what I can pay.
Coins, gold, silver and platinum. Collections and estates. Twenty years at it, and you'll deal with me — not a form, not a call center, not somebody in another state.

Where do you want to start?
Three ways in.
Whether you know every date and mint mark or you just found a coffee can in a closet, there's a place for you at the table.
I've got coins, gold or silver to sell.
Old coins, silver dollars, broken jewelry, dental gold, sterling, whole collections. What I buy, what I'll turn down, and how an offer works.
See what I buy 02 · InheritedSomebody left me a collection and I have no idea what it is.
That's the normal way this goes. Four things to do before you call anybody, and what actually happens when you do.
Start here 03 · CollectingI collect, or I want to hold some gold and silver.
What's in the case: U.S. coins, silver and gold bullion, Goldbacks, Aurum notes, Michigan copper. And where I'll be set up next.
See what's in the caseHow an offer works
No appointment needed on an open day. Nothing happens in a back room.
We go through it together
Right here, in front of you. Not overnight, not out of sight, nothing kept in a back room.
Three piles
Common, better, best. Most of what comes across the table is common, and that's not an insult. It's what most collections are.
We open the book
On the best pieces, together. Either you've really got something or your dad collected the ordinary stuff. Both are worth knowing.
Value first, then the offer
What it's worth, then what I can pay, and the honest reason there's a gap. From that point on I'm carrying the risk and the time.
You take it or you don't
No obligation. It costs nothing to find out, and you can leave with everything you came with.
“You don't have to sell it to me. I want more people to hold gold and silver.”
Whatever you do, don't clean them.
Polishing a coin is the fastest way to turn something collectible into scrap metal. A dark, ugly coin is often worth many times a bright, shiny one. Bring it exactly as you found it. Dirt, tarnish and all.
NORFED and Liberty Dollars
This is the corner of the trade I'm known for. At shows people call me the Norfed guy, and they're not wrong. If you have any, bring it — I'll tell you exactly what it is either way. More on that here.

Come see me.

Appointments any day of the week, evenings and weekends included. Storefront days rotate with my Coast Guard schedule; this week's are on Facebook, or call and I'll tell you when I'm in. And if it's easier, I'll come to you: your house, your bank, your attorney's office.
